We had a terrific weekend visiting family in Sacramento. I made a lot of progress on the scarf, in between visiting wineries in Amador, hanging out with relatives, and eating, eating, eating. The scarf is now 48 inches long, so another foot more, and I’ll call it done.
Also helpful for progress was the ideal knitting weather. Persistent rain and cold lend themselves to cozying up in a chair to knit. The NCAA games were also helpful, because TV sports provide wonderful white noise in the background and tend to keep the menfolk in the family pacified.
I’ve set the Travelling Scarf aside for now, in favor of finishing the baby blanket. My sister-in-law’s swelling belly reminded me that the blanket will be needed very soon, so I think that will be my next FO.
The scarf’s next outing will probably be when I go to Nashville in May. I hope to knock out the last 12 inches then, and will choose a new travel-weight project to accompany me on my adventures.
